It seemed, much to her relief, that at least one of them was enjoying her quirky commentary. She didn't miss Bastion’s slight smile as she announced the battle, and felt invigorated to keep going.
Right off the bat the blonde could tell Horus instantly regretted harming the female eevee, his legs visibly tensing as he restrained himself from going over to her and wiping his sand attack’s remnants away from her poor little eyes. It was a tough ordeal the little fox like pokemon was enduring, harming the one he cared for, but it was a necessary trial he had to partake in. And just maybe, he might be able to reap a bountiful reward from it...if Silver makes her fall for Horus XP.
Before Horus’ will gave out on him, Bastion commanded him to use tackle, and at the same time Silver told Diamond to use tackle as well. The two eevee’s collided, both their bodies slamming into the other, each trying to gain leeway on their opponent. It seemed as if they were both equally as powerful, as if the attack’s had the same amount of forcethat’s because they do XD.
With this new turn of events, Lucy continued her narration, her chocolate gaze glued to the battlefield, “In a surprising turn of events, both trainers have used the same move...at the SAME time! And both pokemon don't seem to be budging anytime soon! Will Horus be the victor of this standstill, or will it be Diamond who comes out on top?”
“Pika pi!” Sparky cheered on Horus, throwing a fisted paw into the air. He was blatantly rooting for the male eevee, as he had befriended him earlier when they were collecting berries. He had nothing against Diamond, he just didn't know her. Eirakie didn't really cheer for either side, disinterested in who the winner was and only interested in the fighting that took place right now. It made something inside the purple pokemon ignite, a flame slowly beginning to burn in her dark eyes. The desire to fight, to battle a strong opponent and end up victorious, erupted inside of her.
It was then that the young trainer realized she had a new guest beside her. Much to her delight, it was Bastion’s cute little marill, cheering for her brother on the sidelines. Lucy thought that was absolutely adorable, and would have scooped up the tiny water type in her arms if she had known her longer. Instead she cheered for both eevee’s, not picking a side verbally but still secretly hoping Horus will win to impress Diamond. Luckily Horus’ fur was a dark brown hue, if it had been any lighter the blonde would have been able to spot his blush and fangirled about how cute he was.

"Wow," Silver exclaimed after Horus used the same move to counter Diamond's attack.The female Eevee was just as surprised, she looked into the eyes of her opponent. Silver smiled and saw this as a cute opportunity. "Now use baby doll eyes." He ordered Diamond, it seems she knew what his plan was. Looking into the eye's of Horus once more but wider, giving her the look on innocents. Without Silver's command, she took it a step further by licking him. Silver started to think Diamond was also into Horus, of course, she wouldn't show it quite yet.
If it hit, then Horus's attack would be severely decreased and Diamond would slowly back off for the next attack. "Great job, Diamond!" Silver would cheerfully exclaim.
If it missed, then the Horus must not have noticed.

Horus didn't notice the heart-crushing gaze Diamond through his way due to the large amounts of sand still heavily irritating his eyes... Bastion grinned, noticing that Horus was still going strong as ever... He must be really trying to prove himself to that other Eevee... Well, he was going to help him do that. After all, what were friends for? So far, they had been matching blow-for-blow, move for move but Horus was looking a bit more worn than Diamond after their clash... His breathing was slightly strained and his stance just very slightly uneven. The other Eevee seemed stronger than him and in a war of attrition, she'd win every time... He had to start gaining ground... But then... this wasn't about winning, was it...? At least not for Bastion. This was about Horus... and the pokemon of his dreams... He wasn't hesitant to lose for his friend.
"Horus! Hold your ground and use Tail-Whip!" His trainer commanded. The Eevee's ears perked up on his command and, while still pushing against Diamond, Horus's Tail rose, and began swaying softly, attempting to catch his opponent's eye. If it succeeded, Diamond would be distracted, and as a result, her defense would drop... this would also leave Horus with an opening... one he was somehow bold enough to act upon. Without a command from his trainer, Horus would lick Diamond's cheek tenderly, showing his feelings to her.
"Horus! Hold your ground and use Tail-Whip!" His trainer commanded. The Eevee's ears perked up on his command and, while still pushing against Diamond, Horus's Tail rose, and began swaying softly, attempting to catch his opponent's eye. If it succeeded, Diamond would be distracted, and as a result, her defense would drop... this would also leave Horus with an opening... one he was somehow bold enough to act upon. “Oooh it looks like Diamond has tried to win over her opponent by being cute, using the move baby doll eyes!” Lucy narrated, anticipating what Horus would do next. Would he fall for such a trick, or was he not paying attention, even after she licked him? Much to the young blonde’s surprise, he had somehow missed it! “I cannot believe it...Horus did not notice her licking his cheek! What a lost opportunity!” It was a shame, if Horus had noticed he would have most likely blushed or looked away from being shy. Or he might have tried to be even tougher, trying to appeal to her more than he was already.
It was then that Lucy noticed the strained intakes of breath from the little pokemon, his body showing the beginning signs of exhaustion. Horus and Bastion would need to wrap up the battle quickly if they were to defeat Diamond and Silver. Diamond did not seem to be showing as much strain, which meant she had possibly already battled a multitude of times and gotten strength from those fights. Or she had just not taken as much damage as Horus had. However, just because one showed signs of exhaustion does not mean the other isn't just as tired. The battle was far from being over, it was still fair game for them both.
Despite his weary body, Horus was able to land a hit with his Tail Whip attack, drawing Diamond’s eyes to his fluffy brown poof of fur. At that moment, he did something no one expected; he licked Diamond on the cheek very sweetly!
“Awwww,” She gushed quietly as she held her arms and fisted hands together close to her chest in a way that most people usually do when they see cute things, not wanting to embarrass the eevee’s but finding them to be just more adorable things ever. “In a surprising turn of events, Horus has not only captivated Diamond with his Tail Whip attack, but he had also just made one of the first moves in their relationship! How will she react to him?” She tried to be a bit cryptic in her words, as to not give Horus’ crush away to Diamond in case the female eevee had not understood what his rather bold gesture had meant, since she herself had done a similar gesture earlier.

Silver's eye's widened and his jaw almost dropped. Diamond's attack missed him and on top of that, Horus' counter was a tailwhip and a tender lick. Diamond's heart skipped a beat, his attack truly caught her off guard.
Silver had to shake it off though. "Alright Diamond, use tackle." Silver's orders hit Diamond awake. She shook it off and got into a pouncing position. "Good!" Silver chatted excitedly. Bastion nearly laughed at Diamond's face in reaction to Horus' confession of love with that lick, though he was truly surprised that it didn't stun her more than he'd hoped. Before he could give any kind of command to dodge or prepare a counter attack, the female Eevee quickly retreated and slammed herself into the male's side, sending him rolling back at his trainer's feet, his ribs aching intensely.
"Come on now, Horus! You can do better than that! Get your head in the game!" The trainer ordered, perhaps a little contradictory to his plan to get his pokemon as close to Diamond as possible, but to do that, he needed him on his feet. He wasn't going to impress the other eevee by laying down there in the dirt.
"Push yourself!"
Slowly, Horus rose to his feet, though his legs were clearly shaky, his breath heavy, his eyes squinted in discomfort and pain. Even through his fluffy fur, one could see the nasty bruise on Horus' side where Diamond had struck him, He was on his very last legs and everyone knew it. You'd have to be blind to to see the utter determination it was taking for Horus to stay standing.
"Horus... Lets see if we can't get one last hit in. Tackle Attack, now! Show her your strength!" By her, he was referring to Diamond. Horus did his very best to muster a tackle, but it wasn't near his full strength in the slightest... One might say it was a desperate move. One purely on his last dregs of energy. Horus charged Diamond... Hoping to land one final impressive blow.
(Take note, Diamond takes extra damage with her lower defense X3)

Horus’ counter attack shocked the poor eevee, but not enough to knock her off her game. At Silver’s command her ears perked up and she got out of her trance, quickly pouncing the male eevee in the side, definitely leaving a nasty bruise where her body slammed into his. Horus flew back a bit, his worn out body relishing in the small relief it got as he laid on the ground, breathing heavily.
“Oh no! That tackle attack hit dead on! Horus seems to be near his limit.” Lucy announced, her voice worry lacing her voice. She still was secretly rooting for the little guy to win, not only the battle but Diamond’s heart.
Bastion yelled fighting words of encouragement to Horus, trying to get the fallen pokemon to get up and fight one last time. Marill and Pikachu cheered on Horus similar Bastion, wanting him to get up as well. And slowly their wishes were answered as he stood on shaky legs, his chest heaving heavily. This next attack may be his last, his body too worn out to continue much longer. If Diamond tackles him again and connects, the battle might be over. However, if he landed an attack on her, she might become just as worn out as he is, making the battlefield even again.
Complying to Bastion’s voice, Horus charged the female eevee with all the strength his body had left in it, which was nothing compared to his fully healthy state, “The last ditch effort made by Horus has collided, causing Diamond to be struck with his Tackle attack!” She couldn't believe he landed his tackle, and wondered if Diamond could take the blow or if she was also already on her last legs as well. If Diamond could handle his attack, Lucy worried that Horus might lose the battle, either by Diamond landing her next attack or by his body finally giving in and succumbing to unconsciousness.

Horus's counter attack was another tackle, it launched her a couple feet. She laid on her side for some time. This worried Silver, "Come on Diamond, you're almost there." He encouraged his partner. She looked at Horus, she noticed his pain. But Diamond was persistent. She wasn't losing her first battle now. She rose to her paws. The female Eevee looked at Horus the entire time. "Good, now Tackle!" Silver said cheerfully. Diamond smiled, as she and Silver knew that she was much faster than her male counterpart. Eevee raced towards Horus. If it hit, she would have him pinned.

Bastion's eyes widened in surprise as Horus, with all the damage he had taken so far, Diamond just wasn't letting up at all... With one final and brutal tackle, Horus was just sent sprawling, landing hard at his trainer's feet... not moving except for the rising and falling of his chest... at least that was still happening.... Bastion didn't say another word and merely scooped up Horus in his arms, cradling the beaten and battered fox-like pokemon in his arms the act managing to get a small response from him, his eyes opening if only barely...
"Hey..." Bastion whispered, gently stroking Horus' cheek with his thumb. The poor normal-type looked like he was about to cry... the way his nose scrunched up, his eyes watering... he looked like someone who thought himself a miserable failiure... his poor poor Horus...
"Hey... don't beat yourself up, buddy... you did so good..." Despite his efforts... they didn't seem to help his poor eevee... Aqua came running over as fast as her small mouse-legs could carry her, wrapping her little arms around the fox pokemon as well, her eyes filled with concern...
"Its okay, Aqua..." Bastion assured her, rubbing her head softly. "He's just a little tired..."

The battle continued, neither pokemon wanting to lose, their determination shining bright within their eyes. Horus’ counter tackle landed, causing the female eevee to roll a couple of feet. She stayed on her side for a couple of seconds, and Lucy thought it might have been the end to the hard fought battle. However, Diamond wasn’t giving up so easily, rising slowly on her paws as she stared down her opponent. Then she rammed into the side of her opponent once again, shoving him enough to launch him a few feet. Horus came to a stop by Bastion’s feet, his worn and beaten body unable to move for the moment. Bastion cradled the little fox like pokemon in his hands, comforting him as he was quite upset at losing the battle. He, potentially, had a lot at stake for the match, the heart of his love being the number one item.
Aqua ran over to her family, panic in her eyes as she checked on her brother. Horus’ eyes barely opened and his nose scrunched up, but that didn’t stop the water type from enveloping the injured pokemon in a warm and loving embrace.
Lucy wasted no time in calling the match over, as it was evident that Horus was in no condition to continue fighting, her tone professional just like a normal announcers, “I am stopping this intense match now, as Horus is no longer in any condition to continue battling. Aqua ran over to her family, panic in her eyes as she checked on her brother. Horus’ eyes barely opened and his nose scrunched up, but that didn’t stop the water type from enveloping the injured pokemon in a warm and loving embrace.
Lucy wasted no time in calling the match over, as it was evident that Horus was in no condition to continue fighting, her tone professional just like a normal announcers, “I am stopping this intense match now, as Horus is no longer in any condition to continue battling. The battle was over, Diamond had one. Instead of going back to Silver, she stared at the male Eevee. Lucy then asked if Diamond was alright, "yeah she's ok." He responded before pulling out a potion. When he walked over to the female Eevee to treat her with the position, she looks at the bottle and then gives the look like she had a plan. Snatching the bottle out of Silver's hand, she headed over to Horus with the spray in her mouth. Diamond placed it next to Bastion before pointing her paw at Horus and saying "Eevee."
Silver knew what Diamond was doing. "Awww she wants to make it up to Horus." He said sweetly next to Lucy.

While it was definitely kind and sweet how his trainer, Aqua and Lucy all praised him for his efforts, having your heart broken wasn't something such things could easily be fixed... Aqua saw this and her hopeful expression melted into one of sadness... empathy... she remembered what it was like to be beaten... Granted, she didn't regret it in the least! She loved her trainer and her new brother too but... she knew what it was like to lose....
Bastion sighed as their efforts were in vain, but he did turn and smile softly at Lucy, silently thanking her for her efforts. He was surprised to see that her pokemon crowded around him as well, seemingly eager to see how his poor eevee was doing... It touched his heart how much they cared...
"Horus... cheer up, buddy..." Bastion murmured, gently stroking his cheek with his fingers in an effort to wipe away his tears. "You did great... all your new friends think so..." And just as he said that, the beaten, battered Diamond shoved her way through the surrounding crowd of pokemon, a potion in her hand... With a coo, she offered the healing item to Bastion, the act shocking him... He then smiled, taking it from her, giving her a gentle pat on the head... The other trainer then mentioned that she did, indeed want to make it up to Horus and Bastion couldn't agree more... It seems Horus had fallen for a pokemon both cute and sweet... He knew how to pick-em...

Before Horus could object, his trainer began softly spraying damaged areas, his head and sides mainly... the male eevee squirmed and protested but once the pain was gone.... so was some of his grief... Hopping out of his trainer's arms, the male Eevee landed right in front of Diamond, giving her another quick lick on the cheek... For what it was worth... it'd either be a solid thank you... or a solid good-bye depending on her reaction.

She sighed in relief at hearing that Diamond was doing just fine, glad she had not been severely wounded from the battle. She was also thankful Horus was not terribly wounded either, nothing a potion and rest couldn’t heal. As her pokemon and herself gathered around Horus to encourage him, Bastion briefly turned towards her with a small smile upon his face. A silent gesture of gratitude for trying to cheer little Horus up. Lucy smiled softly back at him in reply, as she did not need to be thanked for caring about another life.
Bastion gently comforted the eevee, wiping away what she could only imagine were tears, causing her heart to sink. Lucy felt awful for Horus and the pain he was going through, both physically and emotional. Her heart bounded back from its sunken state as Diamond ran over to Horus, her tired body struggling slightly to reach the male eevee. She held the potion Silver had offered to her in her mouth, intending to give it to Horus.
Beside her, Silver made a comment about Diamond wanting to make it up to Horus, causing the blonde to gasp and quietly coo an “awwww” as her hands covered her heart in the typical pose girls do when they are witnessing something adorable
Horus’s wounds instantly began to heal as Bastion used the potion on his, spraying his head and sides where the most damage had been taken. Within moments the male eevee was rearing to go, jumping out of his trainers arms to land on the ground near Diamond. He walked over to her rather happily and licked her cheek. Lucy covered her mouth to keep in her squeals of excitement, anticipation growing as she waited to see how Diamond would react to his affections once more.
